World of Warcraft: Cataclysm gets December 7 release date

October 10, 2010 News 1 Comment

This week Blizzard announced the release date of the much anticipated expansion to World of Warcraft. World of Warcraft: Cataclysm has a scheduled release date of December 7th, just in time for Christmas and the upcoming winter, giving WoW players another excuse to avoid real life by claiming it is too cold to go outside.

With WoW players anticipating the upcoming release of Cataclysm, Blizzard has seen a sudden influx of player subscriptions. Blizzard, being the beacon of humility, has announced that its player base is now larger than the population of Belgium with over 12 million subscribers. Currently Belgium has a population over 10 million people meaning Blizzard has more subscribers then over 148 countries have people. That is a lot of people, which means Blizzard has an even bigger audience than ever to impress with Cataclysm, and hopefully Blizzard won’t let them down.
