Teenagers use MSN to plot murder, confess over WoW

October 29, 2010 News No Comments

Two teenage boys, one 16 and one 18, have pleaded guilty to the murder of Kimberly Proctor. The British Columbians hid the body in a freezer before attempting to burn it and ditch it. The 16-year-old, the apparent ringleader of the operation, asked a female friend leading up to the incident via text “What would your opinion be on me if I killed, raped or brutalized someone?” All acts which he later carried out.

The two teenagers used MSN and text messaging to plan their elaborate undertaking.

Following the murder, the 16-year-old jumped on World of Warcraft with his female friend to explain the incident. Reports indicate that this wasn’t so much a remorseful confession, but an explanation. The high schooler described the event, and claimed murder was something he had wanted to do “since he was young.”

The internet reaction to this case has been as expected. A bunch of dick-wavers are calling for the death penalty (not that there is one in Canada), but will accept prison rape as an acceptably grotesque and hypocritical alternative.
