Study shows Natal and Move doomed to fail
A new study from the marketing research firm OTX has revealed what common sense already told me: Microsoft’s Natal and Sony’s Move are doomed to fail.
2000 American gamers were polled, and it was found that just 15% of 360 and PS3 owners are even aware of their respective console’s upcoming add-ons. Of 360 owners, a mere 8% plan on purchasing the unnecessary me-too Natal. An even more pitiful 6% of PS3 owners say they are getting Move.
Perhaps even more devastating for Sony and Microsoft, a survey from earlier this year revealed 8.8% of the entire Japanese consumer population is interested in picking up the 3DS. I don’t know what a consumer population is, but 8.8% of Japan’s population is over 11 million.
