Sony robs PS3 owners a second time

The March PS3 firmware update robbed pathetic PlayStation 3 owners of the last shred of dignity they had left. v3.21 took from the pathetic grasp of Sony loyalists the “Other OS” functionality of their MGS machine, removing the ability to install Linux on the system.
With nothing better to do, Anthony Ventura of California has launched a class action lawsuit against the company, accusing them of “intentional disablement of the valuable functionality originally advertised as available.”
Sony claims removal of the feature was for security reasons, but the suit alleges the company did it to head off piracy. The patch was technically optional, but not accepting it meant the end of access to PlayStation Network.
Although the suit does not seek a specific sum, it does claim Sony’s thievery amounts to over $5 million.
