REMINDER: The Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear is RIGHT NOW

October 30, 2010 News 1 Comment

Update 2: Well, the rally has now concluded. Highlights included piles of music acts, a guest appearance by R2-D2, a vigorous debate involving a giant papier-mâché Steven Colbert, and an impassioned car analogy from Jon Stewart about working together.

Update: Oh shit, the Mythbusters are on. Crowd shot reveals a fuckton, an army, of people. Mythbusters claim 150,000 in attendance.

Both Canadians and Americans can see the stream right here.

This is it folks. It’s noon DC time, which means the Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear has officially begun! Things have kicked off with a performance from The Roots, later joined by John Legend.

The crowd looks sizeable indeed, although I’m no official estimator. I’ve noticed a number of neckbeards amongst the rally-goers, but a disappointing few number of signs.

More as it develops.
