Pay to Play: GameCrush lets you headshot ladies from the safety of your basement
The internet is alight with the alluring potential for flirty and dirty gaming thanks to a new service that allows lonely male gamers to pay to compete with some 1337 ladies.
GameCrush, which is currently overwhelmed by public interest, has just launched. The site offers “Players” the chance to connect with “PlayDates,” in other words, gross sweaty men make offers to potentially-attractive females to play X-Box 360 and flash games with them at a starting rate of $6.60 per 10 minutes. Girls mark their gaming mood as either “flirty” or “dirty” to let their potential partners know what they might be up for. 360 games are voice only, but the flash games are handled via GameCrush’s site, and allow you to video chat while you compete.
GameCrush justifies the expense by claiming that that’s about what you would pay to buy a girl a drink at a bar, supposedly comparable because “in a bar, you’re basically buying the opportunity to chat a girl up.”
Daemon “Demon Hate-filled” Hatfield of IGN reports that his experience with the service resulted in a pairing with a skilled female claiming to be in a “flirty” mood, but that she made repeated mention of her boyfriend during their bout, and that he even wandered into the room at some point.
Sounds like a great use of your disposable income.
