More Nintendo hype based on nothing
Last week, we reported that British magazine NGamer had put their credibility on the line when they took to Twitter with the announcement that Sonic would be a playable character in Mario Galaxy 2. Now, NGamer’s back at it with another astounding, slightly doubtful, Twat. This time, they’re talking about that sure-fire, explosive February 24th Nintendo press conference. In response to the question “do you know the reason for this big nintendo event ? or is it tied to the ‘new hardware’ if so. is it worth the wait?” NGamer claimed:
Can’t say. But it threatens to be better than their last two E3s glued together.
Now, that may just be a sarcastic jab at Nintendo’s performances at E3 the last couple years. Two years ago was the Wii Music/Animal Crossing shit-fest, and last year was the decent, but not thrilling, NSMB Wii/Mario Galaxy 2/Metroid Other M combo. Having said that, all of those things put together start to sound like a pretty damn impressive conference, one that really would rival a decent E3 event.
As always, we’ll just have to wait and see. For now, I suggest passing the time by rocking anxiously back and forth, dreaming up an event at which Nintendo reveals StarFox, Wave Race, F-Zero, Pikmin, and Zelda sequels alongside a brand new console which far surpasses the technical might of all rivals.
