DS successor will feature “highly detailed graphics,” motion sensing
Nintendo president and all around awesome dude Satoru Iwata recently spoke to Japanese newspaper the Asahi Shimbun, revealing some shocking info regarding his company’s plans for a DS successor.
Iwata told the newspaper that the new system will feature “highly detailed graphics, and it will be necessary to have a sensor with the ability to read the movements of people playing.” Iwata went on to note that the DS is still seeing record sales, and it’s not really the time to talk about a release date.
Personally, I can’t wait. It’s about time Nintendo released a truly new handheld instead of DS remodels, I’ve refused to move on from the original gray brick DS. Let’s hope the system will be compatible with current DS games and continue that system’s strong and innovative library. Sony, the time to cower is now.
