Another Nintendo miracle: DS saves lives following car wreck

July 7, 2010 News 2 Comments

A seven year old boy named Christopher has utilized the awesome powers of the Nintendo DS to save the lives of his family members.

The Australian boy’s family was out for an evening drive when a kangaroo jumped in front of their car, causing the driver to swerve and flip their vehicle. Christopher’s mother was trapped inside the car, and he needed the warming glow of his DS to find her cellphone and call for help. Thanks to Nintendo, everyone survived the incident with only minor injuries.

Christopher’s mother, Kathleen, has been reported as saying “It’s a miracle that we survived, someone is looking out for our family.” Yes Kathleen, someone is, and his name is Satoru Iwata.

This story follows the recent news that a Nintendo DS saved one boy’s sight. How much more can you give us, Nintendo?
